Application
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to identify and label explosives and/or dangerous goods. It includes assessing, handling and labelling explosives and/or dangerous goods, and complying with all required documentation in accordance with relevant Australian state/territory regulators and authorities concerned with the carriage of explosives and dangerous goods. This includes the current Australian Dangerous Goods (ADG) Code, Australian Code for the Transport of Explosives by Road and Rail (AE Code), Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) and workplace procedures. Work is performed under limited or minimum supervision. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. |

Handle explosives/dangerous goods |

Identified explosives and/or dangerous goods are handled and loaded/unloaded in accordance with regulatory requirements, codes, National Transport Commission (NTC) Load Restraint Guide and workplace procedures |
