Application
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to maintain operational safety in a policing environment, including deploying tactical options and using police equipment. This unit applies to those working as community police officers, in metropolitan and/or remote areas. The skills and knowledge described in this unit must be applied within the legislative, regulatory and policy environment in which they are carried out. Organisational policies and procedures must be consulted and adhered to. Those undertaking this unit would demonstrate independent judgement and take responsibility in known contexts and defined parameters. They would perform routine tasks, while providing and communicating solutions to problems in a range of contexts. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to unit at the time of publication. |
