Application
This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to plan and establish a field kitchen, and to supervise catering operations within a field environment. It includes planning, preparing and maintaining field catering operations by supervising the establishment of a field kitchen. It also includes controlling waste management and ceasing field operations. This unit applies to those working as catering personnel in a deployed operational environment but is applicable to any individual in this field of work. The skills and knowledge described in this unit must be applied within the legislative, regulatory and policy environment in which they are carried out. Organisational policies and procedures must be consulted and adhered to. Persons undertaking this unit work independently with supervisory responsibilities and perform complex tasks in contexts that could be unpredictable. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. |
