National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 

This course was developed with and for the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman and is reflective of the telecommunication industry as a whole. The industry is continually changing, especially with regard to complaints handling requirements, land access, National Broadband Network (NBN), convergence of technologies and the legislative framework.
Graduates of this qualification will be able to meet current and future industry requirements and be job-ready to work effectively within complex roles, involving dispute resolution across a wide range of industry sectors.
They will have the skills, knowledge and attributes to:
• interpret and apply legislation, common law, codes and guidelines to industry disputes
• investigate and apply dispute resolution methodologies to resolve a dispute
• communicate with a range of stakeholders to influence and resolve an industry dispute.
• manage an industry dispute caseload.
The course will prepare graduates for employment within an industry context that relates to professional or highly skilled work in dispute resolution. It will focus on aspects of both statutory, civil/common law and conciliation strategy.
