The major trainee target group are those people who are members of Hillsong Church locally or overseas, or other local churches who are seeking training for paid, volunteer or bi-vocational employment in Hillsong Church, another local church or a Christian organization.

Successful completion of this course prepares a trainee for the following kind of vocational outcomes in Hillsong Church or within a local church Christian ministry organisation:
 Team member of a ministry team providing services, including the following kinds, within a Christian church, community or organisation:
o Pastoral care of church members
o Evangelism amongst enquirers
o Catechesis and discipleship of recent converts.
o Small discipleship group leadership
o Age group based services & ministry – kids, youth, young adults, etc.
o Musical and vocal congregational worship
o Writing songs for use in worship services.
o Dance in an ensemble within a worship or evangelistic context
o Sound amplification for a service or other ministry event
o TV & video communication in a church service or Christian ministry.
o Grass-roots community care
o Logistics within a church service or Christian event
 Assistant leader/support member of a leadership team for the above teams.
