Description:

The Course in Tympanometry aims to provide eligible students (Nurses, Doctors, Allied and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Health Workers and Practitioners) specific skills and knowledge to perform tympanometric point of care testing to provide a more detailed assessment of middle ear health (especially in children). To confirm/support history and otoscopy examination based on detailed knowledge of the anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the auditory system.
Vocational outcomes include enhanced clinical practice, addition of skills to scope of practice, ear health clinician.
Specialist skills:
• Ear health assessment.
• Tympanometry.
