Description:
Depending on the electives chosen, this qualification is intended to provide participants with a Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering – Mechanical TB1 and applies to individuals seeking the grant of an EASA Category B1.1 (Aeroplanes Turbine) or B1.3 (Helicopters Turbine) Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence. The accredited course provides qualifications in accordance with European Commission Regulation EU1321/2014 that are essential to prepare individuals for a licence outcome to enable the continuing airworthiness of aircraft and aeronautical products, parts and appliances.
The training covers all aspects of supervision and performance of airframe, engine, electrical and structural maintenance tasks, enabling mechanical engineers to complete and certify for rectifications of unscheduled defects and scheduled maintenance checks normally completed in an aircraft maintenance environment. The underpinning knowledge and skills suitably prepare graduates to be employed to perform inspections and servicing’s, and to fault diagnose and repair aircraft airframe, mechanical, powerplant, hydraulic, fuel and pneumatic systems and associated components.
