22626VIC Certificate IV in Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Management provides graduates with the skills and knowledge required for entry level job roles in the Aboriginal cultural heritage industry in Victoria.
Graduates are able to undertake the following core functions associated with Aboriginal cultural heritage management in Victoria:
• Applying the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 and the Aboriginal Heritage Regulations 2018
• Engaging and consulting with Traditional Owner communities and other stakeholders
• Using culturally sensitive approaches
• Investigating Aboriginal cultural heritage landscapes
• Identifying, interpreting and describing Aboriginal cultural heritage materials
• Identifying, investigating, reporting and managing the discovery of human skeletal remains
• Contributing to the checking of Cultural Heritage Management Plans (CHMPs) for legislative compliance
• Investigating and managing Aboriginal cultural heritage threats.

22626VIC Certificate IV in Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Management supersedes and is equivalent to 22452VIC Certificate IV in Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Management.

Nominal hours range from 583 to 683.
