The Certificate III in Public Transport Customer Service and Compliance reflects the role of an authorised officer, representing the front line of public transport enforcement measures in Victoria, and carry out functions as specified in the Victorian Transport (Compliance & Miscellaneous) Act 1983.
The course is intended to provide participants with the range of skills and knowledge associated with these functions, that includes:
• checking tickets and reporting ticketing and behavioural offences against the Act and regulations made under the Act, whilst exercising discretion where special or exceptional circumstances exist, or where cases of inadvertent non-compliance are apparent
• providing passenger information
• improving safety on the network by acting as a deterrent to vandalism and anti-social behaviour
• helping during special events and disruptions
• providing evidence to any court or tribunal relevant to ticketing and behavioural offences.

22599VIC Certificate III in Public Transport Customer Service and Compliance supersedes and is equivalent to 22335VIC Certificate III in Public Transport Customer Service and Compliance.
