Description:
This course is designed to qualify individuals to undertake skilled work as an entry-level English Language Teacher.

It will provide participants with a range of knowledge and skills to:
● assess learner needs and institutional requirements and design lessons;
● anticipate and plan for contingencies that may occur during lessons, and flexibly adapt when such contingencies occur;
● deploy communicative language teaching methodology and deliver lessons that integrate reading, writing, listening and speaking practice;
● grade language for language learners, speak with appropriate volume and tone, deliver clear instructions, and respond appropriately to non-verbal cues from learners,
● clarify target language (English vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation), facilitate activities, confirm learner understanding and provide effective feedback.
