Scope:
• All personnel working in the vicinity of commercial and industrial electrical equipment, for example; electricians and trade assistants working on commercial and industrial electrical equipment
Purpose:
• To give participants an understanding of the dangers of Arc Flash hazards.
• To impart knowledge necessary for the recognition and classification of Arc Flash hazards so that participants can mitigate the hazards and mitigate the risks
• To impart knowledge to select the correct Arc Risk Category (ARC) PPE to wear if the need arises during a work-related task,
• To give an overview of Arc Flash standards and a basic understanding of how calculations required to determine the Incident Energy received from an Arc Flash
