Description:

Graduates of the Certificate III in Circus Arts will be able to perform in circus and physical theatre acts at an elementary level in community, recreational and professional environments. Job roles include: core circus foundation skills performer, ensemble member or assistant in properties and bump in/out. This course will provide graduates the foundational skills required for progression into higher level courses such as the Certificate IV in Circus Arts and/or the Bachelor of Circus Arts.

The vocational outcomes for graduates of the Certificate III in Circus Arts are the knowledge and skills required to:
• perform elementary level circus and physical theatre skills
• participate in the development of elementary performances
• follow direction in contributing to the development of performance plans of an organisation, company or troupe
• take responsibility for engaging in own training regimes and performances
• collaborate with others in circus acts and ensembles
• identify and implement safe use of equipment and props, for self and others
