Application
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to develop design briefs for electrotechnology projects. It includes preparing and developing project design briefs. It also includes obtaining approval of designs. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. |

Work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS) processes and workplace procedures for a given work area are identified, obtained and applied |

Techniques for project planning are reviewed and applied in accordance with workplace procedures |

Project is evaluated and parameters determined using a formal evaluation/survey in accordance with workplace procedures |

Relevant person/s is consulted and/or site visits conducted to identify other works impacting on project |

Project budget is determined by deliverables and quality in accordance with workplace procedures and project parameters |

Develop design proposal |
2.1 |
Project design brief is developed with scenarios/requirements in consultation with relevant person/s and in accordance with relevant industry standards |

Project design brief is developed in collaboration with relevant design professional/s and/or contractor/s involved in the project |

Relevant person/s required for the project is identified and their role/s specified in the project design brief |

Project design brief is reviewed against inputs and adjusted to rectify any anomalies |

Project design brief proposal is documented in accordance with workplace procedures |
