Release 1. This is the first release of this unit of competency in the TLI Transport and Logistics Training Package.
Application
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to handle furniture and effects, and to apply basic principles and routine procedures in a range of furniture removal contexts in accordance with relevant industry codes of practice.
It includes preparing for removal, moving furniture items in accordance with the removal plan and loading/unloading furniture onto/from the removal vehicle.
Work is performed under limited or minimum supervision generally within a team environment.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

Prepare for removal |

Appropriate removal equipment and materials are selected and work areas are organised in consultation with client upon arrival at client’s premises |

Protective coverings and drop cloths are placed in packing and traffic areas in accordance with workplace procedures |

Furniture and effects are selected, lifted, moved and loaded onto vehicle in accordance with removal documentation, work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations and workplace procedures |
