Release 1. This is the first release of this unit of competency in the TLI Transport and Logistics Training Package.
Application
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to safely operate an agitator (also known as a concrete mixer), in accordance with relevant state/territory roads and traffic authority licence requirements and regulations for an agitator. It includes systematically and efficiently controlling all vehicle functions, monitoring traffic and road conditions, and managing vehicle condition and performance. It also includes preparing a vehicle, monitoring and maintaining vehicle performance, delivering concrete to site and finalising concrete delivery. Work is performed with limited supervision, and with duty of care responsibility for self and others in achieving the prescribed outcomes. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. |
