Unit Descriptor
This unit covers the competency required to provide information concerning issues with policing implications in relation to an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community.
This unit replaces PUACPO002B Provide advanced information concerning an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community.
No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
Application of the Unit
This unit will be applied within a policing environment by Police officers in relation to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander communities.
This unit is specifically designed for Police officers and may not be appropriate to officers not employed in a policing role.

In a public safety environment assessment is usually conducted via direct observation in a training environment or in the workplace via subject matter supervision and/or mentoring, which is typically recorded in a competency workbook.
