Application
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to implement and manage environmental management policies. It includes consulting with stakeholders effectively, interpreting complex information and maintaining environmental records. It also includes implementing and monitoring procedures for quantifying environmental impacts, controlling risks and dealing with environmental incidents. This unit applies to those working as managers with responsibility for environmental management within the organisation. Those undertaking this unit would work autonomously, supervising staff, while performing sophisticated tasks in a range of familiar contexts. The skills and knowledge described in this unit must be applied within the legislative, regulatory and policy environment in which they are carried out. Organisational policies and procedures must be consulted and adhered to. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. |
