Qualification Description
The MSM20116 Certificate II in Process Manufacturing provides the competencies required by competent production workers who undertake vital production support roles directly related to producing products. Production workers apply a breadth and depth of knowledge to a defined range of situations and would be expected to apply this knowledge to solve a defined range of problems by applying known solutions to a limited range of predictable problems.
This qualification has been developed for use across the three process manufacturing sectors:
- chemical, hydrocarbons and refining
- plastics, rubber and cablemaking
- manufactured mineral products.

Packaging Rules
To be awarded the MSM20116 Certificate II in Process Manufacturing, competency must be achieved in fourteen (14) units of competency:

Elective units may also be chosen from the Group A or Group B units in PMA20116, PMB20107 and PMC20110. A maximum of four (4) relevant units may be selected from this Training Package, other endorsed Training Packages and accredited courses, where those units are packaged in a Certificate II or III. Note: a maximum of two (2) units may be chosen from a Certificate III. |
