Description

This qualification covers the skills needed to undertake complex medical grade footwear assessments, manufacture corrective and accommodative orthoses and to make and fit all types of medical grade footwear and orthoses.

Application 

The breadth, depth and complexity of knowledge and skills gained in this qualification will prepare a person to perform a significant range of fundamental principles and complex techniques across a wide and often unpredictable variety of contexts in relation to varied or highly specific functions. Contribution to the development of a broad plan, budget or strategy is involved and accountability for self and others in achieving the outcomes is involved.

Direct entry into this qualification requires completion of a total of thirteen (13) units according to the rules described below.

Credit may be granted towards this qualification by those who have completed LMT50207 Diploma of Medical Grade Footwear or achieved equivalent industry experience.
