Performance Evidence
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to complete the tasks outlined in the elements, performance criteria and foundation skills of this unit, including evidence of the ability to:
- produce at least three different digital images for the web according to client requirements.
In the course of the above, the candidate must:
- adhere to copyright standards and legislation
- save images in required format and location.
Knowledge Evidence
The candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge to complete the tasks outlined in the elements, performance criteria and foundation skills of this unit, including knowledge of:
- industry standards and copyright legislation applicable to using digital images
- digital image formats and their application
- industry-standard digital image editing software
- purposes, specific functions and key features of common digital systems and tools
- organisational policies and procedures, including procedures for:
- accessing client briefs
- sourcing and saving digital images required web content.
Assessment Conditions
Skills in this unit must be demonstrated in a workplace or simulated environment where the conditions are typical of those in a working environment in this industry.
This includes access to:
- image manipulation software
- industry standard hardware, digital devices and storage devices
- client briefs relating to images to be produced
- required image editing software
- image sources.
Assessors of this unit must satisfy the requirements for assessors in applicable vocational education and training legislation, frameworks and/or standards.
