2. Expose the plate |
2.1. The work area is tidied and cleaned to ensure quality of output 2.2. Film is correctly positioned on the plate according to job specification 2.3. The correct exposure unit is selected to deliver the required output 2.4. Exposure control is correctly established utilising a quality control step wedge 2.5. Exposure and vacuum frame are maintained according to manufacturer's specifications |
3. Process the plate |
3.1. The plate processing unit is maintained according to manufacturer's specifications 3.2. The plate is processed according to plate manufacturer's specifications |
4. Post-treat the plate |
4.1. The plate is checked for quality of outcome and analysed for conformance to job specifications 4.2. Changes to the plate image are carried out correctly to ensure the standard of output required by the job brief 4.3. The plate is chemically treated and/or baked according to job specifications 4.4. The plate is prepared for storage prior to printing according to manufacturer's specifications |
