This qualification first released with ICP Printing and Graphic Arts Training Package Version 2.0.

Qualification Description

This qualification applies to individuals working as a pre-media tradesperson. Typically they design and prepare layouts and artwork, manipulate images and text to meet production and design requirements and apply solutions to a defined range of problems associated with, and characteristic to, the print medium. They may also provide some leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others.

Packaging Rules

Total number of units = 21 units 

4 core units , plus

17 elective units  of which:

  • 8 elective units must be from Group A
  • 4 elective units must be from Group B
  • the remaining 5 elective units may be selected from Groups A, B and or C, or any currently endorsed training package or accredited course at Certificate III or IV level.

Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
