Skill Set Requirements

Target Group

This skill set has been endorsed by industry for workers who hold a qualification at the level of Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice or Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice.

Application of this skill set is only appropriate under the supervision of a relevant health professional being a Medical Practitioner, Registered Nurse or Midwife and as a member of a health care team.

This skill set provides a pathway for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers to specialise in the provision of clinical maternal and infant care.
