Skill Set Requirements

Target Group

This skill set has been endorsed by industry for workers who hold a qualification at the level of Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice or Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice.

Application of this skill set is only appropriate under the supervision of a relevant health professional being a Medical Practitioner, Registered Nurse or Midwife and as a member of a health care team.

This skill set provides a pathway for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers to specialise in the provision of clinical maternal and infant care.

Suggest words for Statement of Attainment

This skill set meets industry requirements as specified in the HLT07 Health Training Package for work in maternal and infant care.
