Description

This skill set allows for the attainment of competencies required to recover heavy vehicles and equipment that have become bogged or broken down, and due to terrain or environmental factors, cannot be extracted by other means.

A total of 2 units of competency must be attained.

Conduct recovery vehicle operations in a field environment

Extract disabled equipment using winching techniques in a field environment

Target Group

This skill set covers the competency required by Defence personnel to recover equipment and vehicles that have become bogged or broken down, and due to terrain or environmental factors cannot be extracted by other means.

Typically, operations are conducted by personnel acting independently or in charge of a small team, operating in remote environments isolated from assistance or supervision.
