Unit Descriptor
This unit covers the competency required to inspect and license explosive ordnance facilities and potential explosive sites and review current licences. Explosive ordnance licensing applies to all potential explosive sites and is part of the quality and safety control processes.
Application of the Unit
This competency normally applies to the individual who is required to inspect and license explosive ordnance facilities and potential explosive sites, and review current licences.
The unit requires the individual to inspect the potential explosive facility, to apply formulae to determine the net explosive quantity and compatibility for the facility, and to prepare the licensing documentation for approval.

3. Calculate licence |

In a public safety environment assessment is usually conducted via direct observation in a training environment or in the workplace via subject matter supervision and/or mentoring, which is typically recorded in a competency workbook.
