The unit applies to those who work in a range of creative environments and who receive a range of feedback to their artistic or creative practice.

ELEMENT

1. Identify feedback requirements and seek feedback

1.1 Determine areas of creative practice that would benefit from feedback

1.2 Determine type of feedback to request according to requirements

1.3 Identify personnel to seek feedback from, according feedback requirements

1.4 Request feedback on areas of personal creative practice from identified personnel

2. Analyse and prepare to act on feedback

2.1 Evaluate feedback and potential implications on creative practice

2.2 Discuss, clarify and confirm understanding of feedback with required personnel

2.3 Determine action items according to feedback received and develop implementation plan

3. Carry out and evaluate action items

3.1 Implement action items according to prepared plan

3.2 Seek additional feedback on creative practice following implementation of action items

3.3 Evaluate success of action items and update plan as required

Performance Evidence

The candidate must demonstrate the ability to complete the tasks outlined in the elements, performance criteria and foundation skills of this unit, including evidence of the ability to:

  • seek, evaluate and action feedback from at least two different individuals relating to at least two different areas of personal creative practice.

Knowledge Evidence

The candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge to complete the tasks outlined in the elements, performance criteria and foundation skills of this unit, including knowledge of:

  • types of feedback
  • process for, and benefits of, seeking and analysing feedback
  • impact of implementing feedback on creative practice.

Assessment Conditions

Skills in this unit must be demonstrated in a workplace or simulated environment where the conditions are typical of those in a working environment in this industry. 

This includes access to sources of feedback.

Assessors of this unit must satisfy the requirements for assessors in applicable vocational education and training legislation, frameworks and/or standards.
