They apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others and have limited responsibility for the output of others.

Packaging Rules

Total number of units = 15 

5 core units  plus 

10 elective units 

The elective units consist of:

  • 3 units from Group A
  • of the remaining units:
  • up to 7 may be selected from Group A and/or B
  • up to 3 may be selected from Group C
  • up to 2 may be from a Certificate IV in any endorsed Training Package or accredited course
  • 1 may be from a Certificate III or Diploma in any endorsed Training Package.

The elective units chosen must be relevant to the work outcome and meet local industry needs.
