Qualification Description
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a range of routine tasks in the music industry, work under direct supervision, and use limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge in a defined context. They may work in environments that require foundational skills in music performance, music making or composition, sound production, or music business.
The job roles that relate to this qualification may include studio assistant, music retail assistant, entry level performer, entry level producer, stagehand and road crew.

Total number of units = 8
3 core units plus
5 elective units, of which:
- at least 3 must be from Group A
- of the remaining listed elective units:
- all may be from Group A and/or Group B
- 1 unit may be from elsewhere in this or any currently endorsed Certificate I or above training package qualification or accredited course.
Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the overall integrity of the AQF alignment, not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification, and contribute to a valid industry-supported vocational outcome.
