To achieve this qualification, the candidate must demonstrate competency in:

• 14 units of competency:

• 3 core units
• 11 elective units.

The elective units must ensure the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome and are to be chosen as follows:

• a minimum of four units must be chosen from Group A
• a maximum of seven units may be chosen from Group B
• three of the eleven units may be chosen from other Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualifications in CPP07, or another current Training Package or state-accredited course; with it being possible to choose one of those three units also from a Certificate IV qualification.
