Qualification Description
This is a qualification for access consultants who are self-directed and have substantial depth of knowledge and skills to provide expert advice in the provision of access consulting services. Access consultants interpret and apply the requirements of relevant legislation, codes and standards, including building control and anti-discrimination legislation and the National Construction Code (NCC), to ensure compliance of provisions for access for people with disability.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements for this qualification.
Packaging Rules
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in:
- 25 units of competency:
- 15 core units
- 10 elective units.
For the elective units:
- 1 unit must be selected from Group A
- 5 units must be selected from Group B
- remaining units may be selected from Group A or B if not already chosen, or any currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course at the Diploma or higher level provided they contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome, maintain the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) level of this qualification and do not duplicate the outcome of another unit used to achieve the qualification.
