Qualification Description
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a range of high-level evaluation and assessment functions in the vehicle loss assessing industry.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
Entry Requirements
Those undertaking Certificate IV in Vehicle Loss Assessing must have completed one of the following automotive Certificate III qualifications or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency.
- AUR30320 Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology
- AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- AUR31120 Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- AUR32120 Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology
- AUR32420 Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology
Packaging Rules
Total number of units = 17
11 core units
6 elective units , of which:
- all 6 elective units may be from the elective units listed below
- up to 3 elective units may be from a Certificate III qualification or above in this Training Package or another endorsed Training Package or accredited course.
Elective units chosen must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the overall integrity of the AQF alignment, not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification, and contribute to a valid vocational outcome.
