The following elective unit has been updated: AURETR021 Inspect, service and repair electronic management, monitoring and tracking systems has been superseded by and is equivalent to AURETR121 Diagnose, repair and replace electronic management, monitoring and tracking systems.
Release 2	This version first released with AUR Automotive Retail, Service and Repair Training Package Version 6.0. The following elective units of competency have been deleted as directed by the AISC: AURRGA002 Use cranes, gantries and forklifts to launch and recover vessels AURRTA001 Inspect and service deck, hull and cabin equipment AURRTA003 Winterise vessels and engine systems. The above training products were identified as having zero enrolments over a three year period.

Qualification Description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a range of tasks in the marine industry. It is suitable for entry into the marine mechanical service and repair sector.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

11 core units 

19 elective units , of which:

• 1  unit must be from one of the Specialist Elective Groups A or B below
• of the remaining units required to make the up the elective unit total:

• all 18  may be from the general elective units listed below
• up to 5  may be from a Certificate II qualification or above in this Training Package or another endorsed Training Package or accredited course.

Elective units chosen must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the overall integrity of the AQF alignment, not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification, and contribute to a valid vocational outcome.
