Description
This Skill Set describes the skills and knowledge to ensure the safe and humane receival of stock.
Pathways Information
These units of competency provide credit toward the Certificate III in Meat Processing (Livestock Handling) and the AMPSSS00001 Animal Welfare Officer Skill Set.
The units of competency comprising the Animal Welfare Officer Skill Set are drawn from AQF levels II and III meat industry qualifications, and can be counted towards these qualifications and qualifications from other Training Packages, where this is in accordance with the qualification requirements.

Target Group
This skill set is for an employee who works out of normal production hours and is responsible for livestock receival out-of-hours (e.g. weekends or nights).
