Application
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to investigate work activities undertaken by a range of animal care and management facilities and/or services, and to explore employment opportunities.
This unit applies to individuals seeking entry level work or involvement in community volunteering in the animal care and management industry. Animal care may occur in a wide variety of workplaces, including retail pet stores, boarding/day care facilities, shelters and other workplaces. In this context, individuals work alongside a supervisor in most situations, exercise limited autonomy and identify and seek help with simple problems.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
