Description:

Successful completion of this course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to apply a human rights based approach to all aspects of work, including identifying indicators and signs of abuse and/or grooming. Participants will also be able to contribute to increasing the protective factors of the service user and their family, as well as empower the service user and their family to disclose and report abuse. Other skills covered are to identify immediate risks and respond to disclosed, identified or suspected abuse.
This course is targeted to those who work with people with disabilities, including psychosocial disability, and have a responsibility to identify and report abuse.
