Victorian Registration and Qualification Authority 

The Diploma of Ecology is designed for the expert advisor or consultant who is in a management/planning role in an urban or disturbed environment such as rural roads, urban streets, parks, reserves, waterways, existing and new above- and below ground utility easements, rail corridors, open cut mining and forestry coupes. At this level workers are required to identify a wide range of flora and fauna, conduct detailed analysis of field data and prepare high level ecology reports. The focus of these ecology reports is on inspecting and assessing vegetation to facilitate habitat refuge creation, maintenance and protection.

Nominal hours 1030 plus 240 hours work placement.
