Description:
The course is designed to address the increased roles and responsibilities of Aboriginal Victorians under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 (the Act). These responsibilities require a skilled and professionally trained Aboriginal workforce to support the enforcement and management of Victoria’s cultural heritage. Graduates of the current course are employed in this area, and there is strong ongoing demand. Development of a Cultural Heritage Management Plan is
mandatory under the Act for most development projects. Each Plan must be approved by a Registered Aboriginal Party (RAP), and the RAPs employ skilled Aboriginal people to undertake these evaluations.

22452VIC Certificate IV in Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Management supersedes, and is equivalent to 22222VIC Certificate IV in Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Management.
