Description:
There are no national qualification requirements for educators in outside of school care services. However, state and territory jurisdictions may have specific regulatory requirements regarding qualifications for school age care educators under the National Quality Framework. These are namely in Queensland, Victoria, Northern Territory, Australian Capital Territory, Western Australia and South Australia.

Under the Education and Care Services National Law (2011) the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) publishes lists of approved qualifications for working with children over preschool age.
