Description:
The course is designed as an entry level pathway into full time performing arts vocational training for advanced beginners with prior experience. It is a culturally sensitive, broad based performing arts program. It includes core subjects that range across the three mediums of dance, music and acting, as well as elective strategies allowing students to explore deeper experience of one of the three mediums. Its design provides learners with an opportunity to:
• experience the challenges and workloads involved in full time performing arts training;
• sample core training in each medium to inform their future choices of which area they wish to specialise in; and
• allows them to engage at the Certificate IV level, with elective options in their initially preferred medium.
