Description:

Under the Tasmanian Firearms Act 1996, firearms licence applicants must have successfully completed an approved and accredited firearms safety course.
This course provides firearms licence applicants:
• who are deemed to be a “Fit” and “Proper Person”; and
• with genuine reasons for possessing a firearm under the Firearms Act 1996;
with the knowledge and skills to possess and use firearms lawfully, responsibly and safely, thus making them eligible to apply for a Tasmanian firearms licence, in one or more of the following categories of firearms:
• Category A
• Category B
• Category C
• Category D
• Category H
