Description:
This course will provide learners with the skills and knowledge required to work effectively as a member of a Queensland Underground Coal Mine Emergency Response and Rescue Team.
Graduates of the course will be:
• able to work as an Underground Coal Mine Emergency Response and Rescue Team Member
• able to perform an Emergency First Responder role at their underground coal mine
• eligible to become a member of the Queensland Underground Coal Mines Emergency Response and Rescue Mutual Assistance Group
• recognised as satisfying the prerequisite mines rescue and response training required to apply for an Underground Coal Mine Deputy's Certificate of Competency (issued by the Queensland Government Board of Examiners, Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy).
