Functions and specialist skills include the ability to:
• Teach and demonstrate appropriate application of various asana postures
• Teach and demonstrate fundamental - pranayama (breathing) techniques and meditation within general yoga class teaching context
• Teach and integrate yogic philosophy and lifestyle (holistic – whole person approach) within the teaching of yoga practices
• Adapt and vary or modify yoga asanas in accordance with individual participant needs and physical capacity
• Carry out administrative functions associated with a yoga enterprise
• Source, interpret and apply business, legislative compliance requirements; professional and ethical codes of practice
• Undertake continuing education activities to meet yoga industry association requirements
