Description:
The purpose of the proposed reaccreditation of the Graduate Certificate in Applied Business is to address the ongoing challenging skill requirements for organisational development in the service industry at a higher level of complexity and sophistication. The proposed course structure develops participants’ skills and knowledge in:
• researching and critical thinking to generate and evaluate complex and innovative ideas to lead organisational transformation;
• applying coaching practices in an organisational setting;
• leading innovative thinking and practices,
• leading and influencing organisational change,
• managing financial resources;
• leading and managing organisational change;
• developing and establishing the strategic direction of the organisations.

The Graduate Certificate qualification embraces the 'project-based' philosophy that builds upon real work-related situations for its execution and assessment. The course builds high level, specialised knowledge and practical application of that knowledge throughout its delivery.
The course provides postgraduate level learning and development in leadership and other business capabilities critical to a successful career in senior management. The course is aimed at professionals who have moved or are planning to move into senior management roles.

This course is designed to provide professional and para-professional staff at senior technical and management levels in private and public enterprises with skills and knowledge that enhance and strengthen their leadership capabilities in addressing the challenging demands of business development. Participants will develop the ability to synthesise, implement and lead high level business initiatives to achieve strategic outcomes in the workplace.
