Description:

Graduates will be able to safely work with split-system air conditioning systems, including ducted systems, of up to 24 kilowatts. They will be able to dismantle, clean, identify and treat corrosion in, and reassemble these systems, but not undertake any electrical or refrigerant handling work. Job titles include air conditioning (or HVAC) cleaning technician, air-hygienist, air conditioning duct cleaner.
Graduates of this course are likely to work for organisations providing air conditioning cleaning services for a range of clients, such as:
• residential customers
• accommodation services
• mine sites and camps
• educational institutions
• small businesses
• government facilities.
