This course is intended to provide participants with a range of advanced
integrated technical and theoretical concepts and advanced skills in a broad range of contexts to:

• manage their own career to meet objectives, achieve life plans and determine new professional development pathways for growth
• manage themselves and others through challenging experiences and complex problems that can arise in the workplace
• provide strategies that allow people to adapt well to changing situations and stressful conditions
• demonstrate strategic leadership and invest time and energy to achieve outcomes for the benefit of the organisation
• assist others to develop the necessary workplace skills in order to manage a career and establish learning pathways
• maintain and model a professional work/life balance through the holistic planning of activities and implementation of strategies in the workplace
• undertake negotiations as an individual or as a member of a team in order to achieve desired outcomes and build long term resilience
• consistently model high levels of behaviour that exemplifies the desired standards of the organisation while influencing, assisting and guiding others
• facilitate work teams to promote critical thinking, build a positive culture and improve output while developing strong team cohesion and innovative work practices
• establish and utilise effective professional networks within and outside of the organisation to promote constructive communication and encourage the exchange of information
• develop approaches to sustainability in the workplace by identifying areas for improvement and market trends
• utilise complex problem solving methodologies and diverse methods which require the exercise of considerable discretion and judgement to effect desirable solutions
• demonstrate entrepreneurship by influencing others and remaining confident, assertive and focused in order to identify opportunities for growth and expansion of the organization.

Graduates will be able to perform the functions across all industry sectors, ultimately enhancing their own career and continuing on the pathway to further learning and development
