This qualification is designed to enhance the quality of management and introduce best-practice principles for middle to senior managers working within the venue management industry.
As part of the renewal process, the VMA also seeks to assist entrants gaining a position in the venue management industry or improve their venue management skills.
This qualification focuses on applied and integrated theory and technical concepts in a broad but specialised context for the venue industry.

The specified units of competency and assessment strategies cover the full spectrum of venue management responsibilities from operational skills in event and crowd management to managing human resources, legal principles, risk management, workplace health and safety and security, and controlling budgets.
