The Certificate II in Vocational Preparation for Women is designed to provide a grounding in work-related literacies, employability and communication skills as an introduction to vocational competencies.
Learners are able to develop their work-related literacies, numeracy and communication skills as well as their personal and interpersonal skills in this qualification to move successfully into employment.
Work-related literacies may include:
• Accessing, reading and using different types of information
• Writing and recording information
• Listening to different types of information
• Giving different types of verbal information
• Performing a range of numeracy tasks
• Developing and applying skills in appropriate new technologies for information discovery, transfer, analysis, review and communication
General education outcomes:
The Certificate II in Vocational Preparation for Women will provide a pathway to a suite of courses that facilitates women in their preparation for work by building confidence for social, educational and vocational outcomes.
