Description:
This course is intended to provide participants with a range of knowledge, skills, generic and specific competencies to perform the following job role(s): Team member, assistant leader, assistant small group leader, youth or children’s worker, junior assistant pastoral worker in a church or Christian organisation.

Graduates will be suitable for specialisation development in any of the following job roles:

• An assistant pastor in any of the following fields:
o Children’s ministry
o Youth ministry
o Young adult ministry
o Families ministry
o Pastoral care
o Worship ministry
• Assistant pastors assist in building and administering their respective departments in local churches
• Assistant pastors build teams and develop systems for the facilitation of effective ministry in local churches.

The Certificate IV of Christian Leadership is a minimum requirement for all individuals seeking pastoral credentials with the Australian Christian Churches.

In addition to the aforementioned employment opportunities the skills learned will assist graduates to be effective in various management and supervisory capacities in a broad range of industries.
