Description:

Vocational outcomes
• Men’s Behaviour Change Program counsellors and group-workers, Partner and Children advocate workers, Counsellors, psychologists, social workers, group-work facilitators, and specialist male domestic and family violence workers.

Function/duty/specialist skill:
• Deliver and evaluate specialist group-work programs and individual counselling services to effect change in men who use domestic and family violence
• Provide specialist interventions to people from culturally and gender diverse communities, Aboriginal, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD), Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer (LGBTIQ) and people with a disability
• Implement and monitor ongoing domestic and family violence risk and safety assessments applying acute and dynamic risk factors

• Apply specialist clinical judgement in high risk clinical situations

• Undertake complex case planning and management for men who engage in domestic and family violence, whilst promoting safety of partners (women), children and affected family members

• Review and contribute to men’s behaviour change program continuous improvement
