Description:

This course is intended to provide participants with a range of knowledge, and skills to perform the following functions associated with an Integrative Complementary Medicine practitioner. Graduates work separately, or in integrated complementary medicine clinics with Western medicine doctors and other complementary practitioners. The skills provided by the course include:

• Operating a clinic as a practitioner;
• Conducting comprehensive health assessments;
• Performing Integrative Complementary Medicine treatments;
• Accessing, analysing, synthesising and communicating research about Complementary and Western Medicine approaches to specific health conditions; and
• Business planning and marketing.

The focus is on producing a complementary medicine generalist that understands and works well with other health professionals.
